Adding photos to a task

How to take a photo straight from a task on your phone or upload one, and where those photos end up.

Photographs are attached to reports — both interim and final. You can take one straight from DOMOD on your phone, without switching to the camera app and hunting for the file afterwards.

What must be photographed

Anything that will be hidden by later work. Wiring before plaster, pipework before screed, timber grounds inside partitions, tanking before tiling. Once these are covered a photograph becomes impossible, and questions about them can come up years later.

The state before work starts. A photograph before the work begins and another at the end will spare you future arguments about what you did and how much of it.

The result. Photographs from your reports go into the object passport.

How to shoot so the photo is useful

Wide shot and detail. A close-up of a junction is useless a year later because nobody can tell where it is. Photograph the whole wall first, then the detail.

If the size matters, put a tape measure in the frame. If the height matters, shoot so that the floor or a door opening is visible.

Deleting and correcting

Photographs and reports can be deleted by the Manager and the Owner.

A submitted report is fixed. If something needs correcting, add another report.
