Exporting and deleting your data

How to request a copy of your data or have it deleted, and how long each request takes.

What you can take right now

The object passport as a PDF. Downloaded from the project. This is the main document for the object: what was done, from what materials, with photographs.

Files from the documents sections. Everything uploaded to the project, stages and tasks can be downloaded individually.

Download before archiving the project, not after.

Full data export

Automated export of all account data in a machine-readable format is still in development.

If you need a complete copy of your data — under GDPR or for any other reason — contact support. The request will be handled within the periods the law requires.

Deleting data

Requests to delete an account and its associated data also go through support.

One important point: if you are a participant in someone else's project rather than its owner, deleting your account does not delete the project. Reports you wrote and specification items you entered belong to the object and to the company that built it.

Who is responsible for the data

If you are a company owner, the personal data of your staff, workers and clients inside your projects is your responsibility. DOMOD acts as the processor and you as the controller.

In practice this means your clients and workers bring data requests to you rather than to DOMOD.

What we suggest doing at the end of every object

Download the passport PDF for yourself and give a copy to the client. A file on a disk does not depend on a subscription, on archiving, or on anything that happens to the service.
