Creating your first project
Step by step: create a project, fill in the site details and get the work started.
A project corresponds to one property. Before you start, prepare: the address of the property, approximate dates for the work, and the contact details of the people taking part.
Step 1. Create the project
In the project list, tap the three dots to the right of the Projects heading and choose Create new project.
Fill in the form:
Name — required
Address — required
Description
Planned start and end dates
Date format and currency — both pre-filled, currency defaults to euro
Choose a name that you and your colleagues will find easily in search.
Every project you create takes a subscription slot. If you have no free slots, you can buy additional ones after pressing Create. Billing depends on the number of active projects. Projects you have finished can be archived.
Step 2. Break the work into stages
Create your stages straight after creating the project — it makes planning far more effective.
Each stage collects a combined specification and its own passport from the tasks inside it, so the way you divide the work determines both your purchasing and your reporting. There is no limit on the number of stages.
For a flat refurbishment the stages usually follow the types of work: demolition, walls and partitions, electrical installation, heating, water and drainage pipework, fitting doors and windows, and so on.
Step 3. Invite the team
Once the stages are defined, add the Managers who will run the work.
Add Workers at stage level and assign them to specific tasks. A task can have several assignees.
A Manager can also be added to a task as the assignee.
Step 4. Create tasks
Tap the three dots to the right of the heading to create a task: enter the name, the technical description and the planned dates for the work. Then assign the Worker.
Step 5. Start working
Record and enter information as the work goes along. Everything the project team does updates automatically: changes to the specification, reports, photographs, approaching deadlines.
