Inviting participants

How to add a manager and a client to a project, and a worker to a task, and what they see after signing in.

In DOMOD your address book is built from the people you have sent invitations to. Contacts are kept in your account and added to it as you go, and any of them can take part in any of your projects.

How to invite someone

Tap the plus in the relevant block — managers, client, or workers. A panel opens at the top: the participants of that block above, and below them everyone you have worked with before.

If the person is already in the book, pick them and you are done.

If not, start typing a name or an email address. When nothing matches, the Invite button becomes active. A window opens where you enter first name, surname, email and role.

The invitation goes out by email.

Who invites whom

The Owner invites Managers and the Client into the project. On activation they set a password, and the project is available to them straight away.

A Manager can invite another Manager, Workers and the Client.

Workers are invited into a specific stage. From the stage you can assign a Worker to a particular task right away.

On the task card the Worker sees Accept and Decline. Until they accept, they do not count as the assignee of that task.

Choosing who to invite

Managers see the whole project, so this is not a role to hand out loosely.

Workers see their stage and their tasks. That means you can invite subcontractors without exposing prices on other people's tasks.

The Client is the customer for the construction or renovation work on the property. They see the documents, the progress of the work, published reports, the object passport and their own chats.

If the invitation does not arrive

Check the address for typos, then ask them to look in their spam folder.
