Roles and permissions

The four roles in DOMOD, what each one can see and do, and why clients do not see prices.

DOMOD has four roles. Each one has a scope of access sized so that a person sees everything they need for their work and nothing beyond it.

The roles

Owner — creates projects, pays the subscription, has full access. Only the Owner can move a project to the archive and clear the document archive.

Manager — runs a project and its stages: creates tasks, assigns Workers, adds documents, works with specifications and purchasing, keeps track of the status of the work, approves reports and assembles the object passport. Assigned at project level. A Manager can assign themselves as the Worker on a task.

Worker — carries out a specific task. After accepting the invitation they study the stage documents and tasks, and agree the list of materials and tools with the Manager. Produces photo reports on the task.

Client — the owner of the property. Follows the progress of the work, sees the project documentation and the stage reports, talks to the Manager and the Owner, and at the end of the job receives the object passport. Assigned at project level.

A Client can follow the progress of the work without going into the technical detail.

A Worker looking at someone else's task sees the status, the dates, the technical description, the specification without prices, the assignee, the final report and the related tasks. Prices are visible on their own tasks always, and on other people's never.

A Client cannot open a task card — tapping it does not expand it. They see the name, the dates and the status bar, with no action buttons.

What the Client sees, and what stays internal

The specification is a separate section rather than part of the documents, and the Client does not see it. It is the contractor's internal accounting record: purchase prices, suppliers, movement between warehouse and site, write-offs and returns.

The Client talks to the Owner and the Manager, agrees estimates, follows the work stage by stage, reads the reports, and at the end receives the passport for their property — a history of the work carried out, the materials used, and how the result matches the design and the standards.

Why the Client does not message Workers

All communication with the Client runs through the management.

This removes the situation where the Manager's instructions and the Client's requests contradict each other. Any wish from the Client passes through the Owner and becomes a clearly defined task for the Worker.

The Client has two channels: a group chat with the management team, and a private chat with the Owner.

Can one person hold different roles

Yes. The same person can be a Manager on one project and a Worker on another. Any user can create a project of their own.
