Profile and security
How to update your profile, change your password and recover access to your account.
Settings open from the account menu — the three dots in the top right corner.
Profile
Photograph — your own, or a default image.
First name and surname — this is how you appear on participant cards, in specification item history and in reports.
Email and phone — contact details, and the address invitations go to.
Specialisations — you can list several: architect, plumber, electrician, steel fixer and others.
Why specialisations matter
A specialisation shows on your participant card. When a manager adds people to a stage and picks a worker for a task, they can see who does what — which matters once the company contact book holds dozens of people from different jobs.
Worth filling in once: the contact book belongs to the company rather than to a project, so the details carry across to every future object.
Security
The security section is where you change your email address and password.
Your email is also where invitations arrive, so when changing it make sure the new mailbox actually works.
If you are thinking of a shared account
Do not share one account across a crew. Specification item history and report authorship are tied to a person — that is the only way to establish who bought a material and who received it. A shared account makes the whole history useless.
Users are not charged for, so there is nothing to save by doing it.
