You have been invited to a task

First steps for a worker in DOMOD: accept the invitation, find your task and see what is expected.

You have been added to a job on a site. This guide covers the first five minutes.

Accepting the invitation

You will receive an email with a link. Open it and set a password — the rest of your profile has already been filled in by the person who invited you.

The task card has two buttons: Accept and Decline. Until you accept, the task is not assigned to you.

What you can see

Your own task in full: the technical description, the deadlines, the specification with prices, documents, related tasks and reports.

You also see the stage you were added to and the neighbouring tasks in it. In someone else's task you can see the status, the dates, the technical description, the specification without prices, the assignee, the final report and the related tasks.

The rest of the project is not open to you. This is how the system is built, not a fault.

What is expected of you

Keep the specification. Add what the job needs, and mark items as bought and delivered as it happens.

Attach photos. Photograph the work as you go, not only at the end. Anything that will disappear behind plasterboard or under screed should be photographed first.

Write reports. An interim report can be added at any point — even before the work starts, if something needs recording or discussing with the site manager. The final report is written when you complete the task, and it goes into the document the client receives.

Deadlines

Every task shows its state as a colour. Green means on schedule, orange means the deadline is close, red means it has passed.

Notifications appear inside the service. There is nothing to report separately when a colour changes — the site manager sees the same thing you do.
